Great River Road Interpretive Center
A current network of 70 museums and historic sites in all 10 river states have been selected to showcase and connect the historic stories of the Mississippi River.
The Great River Road, one of America’s Scenic Byways, houses Potosi Brewing Company, an Interpretive Center and welcoming stop for visitors traveling along Wisconsin’s corridor of the Great River Road. Here stories of the Mississippi River come alive and guests can learn more about river history as well as find brochures and other travel information about places and events in the Tri-State area. Those traveling away from home can also take a break to check their email on internet kiosks or visit websites to learn more about other area attractions.
Transportation Museum
Step inside the Potosi Brewing Company Transportation Museum and take a journey through time to experience the proud history of the Potosi Brewery. See how transportation played a role in the brewing process and how it changed and grew through its 120 year history.
From the early days when product was delivered by horse drawn wagons and by steamboat on the Mississippi, to the use of rail, cars, and delivery trucks, your visit shows the process of getting supplies to the brewery and product to consumers.
A historical destination for the entire family!
